                                                   Abstract

Even though Thailand has been working on ethics related to research on human subjects for quite a
long time, certain aspects of such a matter have not been practised in line with international standards.
Regarding the good practices for human research, the ICH guidelines have been adopted although they are
specific for clinical research related to the registration of pharmaceutical products for human use, not for
human research in general. This article presents the good practices for such research of Kingûs College
London, which is a famous university in the United Kingdom. The practice guidelines have a writing pattern
that is worth studying as they emphasize learning rather than teaching with a lot of references for study and
consideration. It is noteworthy that the guidelines do not directly refer to the ICH guidelines and the
International Ethical Guidelines on Biomedical Research Involving Human Subjects of the Council for
International Organizations of Medical Sciences, which are widely referred to in Thailand.
