The evaluation of the products of the project indicated that there were 227,642 people who

came to receive TTM services with 407,651 visits. Most of them (66.20h) were civil
service or government enterprise officers eligible for government welfare and 59.3% of the
customers suffered from musculoskeletal disorders. The services provided were mostly for
the treatment and rehabilitation purposes (72.10), of which 31.7% were Thai traditional

massage services. Almost all of the customers (99.501o) were satisfied with the services
they received. For people who received training on Thai traditional massage, 98.9% could

make use of their knowledge and experience gained during the training for the healthcare
of their family members, while 85.90/o could make a living as masseurs or masseuses.
The major obstacle that the TTM health promotion centers encountered was the lack of
rules or regulations that allow the centers to sell traditional medicines or herbal products to

the public.
